I decided to take a trip over to see a good friend in London and make it a proper tourist visit. My previous times there have always been rushed, or just passing through, so now it was time to see what this London malarkey was all about!
Just before I left I luckily checked the weather forecast, as my bag was originally filled with coats and jumpers. These were replaced by shorts and t-shirts, and a good job they were! Every day was a cloudless sky with temperatures hitting 30 degrees. It felt less like London and more like Lisbon. My friend Beth had a few days off work, and meeting up with other friends along the way, we explored the sights and sounds of the city. Bus tours, boat tours, Theatres and bars. Fun times indeed. I also met a friend from school whom I hadn’t seen in over 6 years. He’s currently working for Double Negative, and kindly showed me about, which was awesomeness for the geek that is me!
Anyhow, I had a great time, and providing the money was right, I may even be tempted to move there. For a while at least. A country boy like me in the big city hey? You may laugh, but I managed it in Liverpool! A big thanks to all the friends who met up with me, whether it was a short beer or a long day, it was great to see you! Take care, I may be seeing you sooner than you think.
