Yesterday was Tap’s Race which signals the end of the season. It’s an annual slalom race from Tap’s (an apres ski bar on the side of the mountain) down to the resort. Being held in April is it almost guaranteed to be good weather. Almost.
The past weeks have been nothing but sun, with the occasional overcast day. But yesterday it snowed. Actually it started with rain first. But there was no doubt that it was crazy indeed. Tap’s Race persevered and I managed a 6th place finish. All in all it was a great day, and everyone I know had a good time, but it was nothing short of crazy that over 30cm of snow fell. Maybe the season isn’t quite over yet? Just take a look at the gallery below, showing the difference between the resort only a few days ago and last night. Time to ride some pow!
