Watertop Open Farm

Watertop Open Farm required a new website to showcase their farm and the different activities that are available to it’s visitors. I was also commissioned to create a new photo library of the farm, covering all aspects of it’s operation and the different activities it has on offer.

The site was based on wordpress so the family could easily update any of the information, and keep their visitors up to date with changes and events. The homepage displays an introductory paragraph about the farm, with a short video available just below that gives a brief overview of Watertop. The video was created using footage that I captured during shooting for the photo library. The homepage also contains a blog, which the family can use to notify visitors about anything they wish, such as special events, or closing dates and changes. Separate galleries were created for the activities and are displayed on the relevant pages, along with a description and information about the activity itself. Also available are the standard history of the farm, directions to the farm with an embedded Google Map, and a Contact page.

The site has been quite a success, with over 100 visitors per day during the summer months.
